In the evocative setting of Champlas Seguin – a hamlet straight out of a nativity scene in the upper Val di Susa – Vincenzo Pavia of Pavia & Pavia International Design is the author of an interior scheme that nestles respectfully into an exceptionally rare historic setting.

Across 350 square metres spread over four levels, the interior design reinterprets the traditional Alpine physiognomy through a contemporary approach: fine oak clads floors, ceilings and walls to create an enveloping embrace, while inserts of burnished iron and local split-face stone introduce accents of modernity.

Every furnishing element springs from an exclusive design: sculptural tables and side tables, integrated boiserie, bespoke cabinets and wardrobes that meld into the architecture. The project celebrates artisanal excellence through collaboration with long-established master craftsmen, while tactile fabrics – woven raw linen, wool and alpaca – enrich the spaces with material comfort.
Lighting becomes an integral part of the scheme: the large Cirio chandelier by Santa & Cole, with its cylindrical elements, takes centre stage in the main space, punctuating the interior with a sculptural rhythm. In the dining room, three large glass sculptures by Brokis lend plasticity to a contained space.

The result is a contemporary retreat where luxury expresses itself through authentic materials, meticulous detailing and a respectful dialogue with the Alpine landscape.
