An apartment on two levels designed for a strong-willed, independent woman who wanted a small home with character in Piedmont’s capital city. On the lower level, no masonry walls interrupt the airy functionality of an open space that conveys a sense of measured aperture, with a bookcase wall that becomes boiserie as the most characteristic feature. On the upper mezzanine floor, an intimate sleeping zone, well-lit like the whole flat, employs materials and colours chosen as a play on the palette of nature.
